About Self Finance Scheme
The Aligarh Muslim University has introduced Self-Financing Scheme for admission to Class XI (Science/Commerce streams) with admissions commencing in the first week of September.
Professor Javaid Akhtar, Controller of Examinations said that 80% seats will be offered to eligible internal candidates while 20% are earmarked for external candidates through nomination by the Vice Chancellor at his discretion. He said that interested candidates may submit their applications in the Office of Deputy Controller (Admissions) on a plain paper with proper indication of admission roll number and special category (if any) latest by August 20.
Professor Akhtar said that the candidates who have already submitted their applications, need not apply again. Further, internal candidates are also not required to apply separately. No applications beyond the notified date shall be entertained, he added. He further said that detailed information can be obtained from the Official Website.

Note -: The admissions against 20% of the intake under Self Financing Scheme (SFS) to Senior Secondary School Certificate(SSSC) - Science and Commerce / Humanities Streams for the session 2019-2020 will be offered to eligible candidates (Boys & Girls) by the Vice-Chancellor through Nomination at his sole discretion. 

Eligibility Criteria
 In addition to eligibility conditions as specified in the Guide to Admissions 2019-20 and subject to clearance from the office of the Proctor the following conditions are also required to be fulfilled by the candidate to be eligible for admission under SFS mode: a) For admission to SSSC (Science Stream): 
  • Candidate must have appeared in the Admission Test of SSSC (Science Stream)/ Diploma in Engineering, 2019-20 and must have secured minimum 15% marks in the Test. However, candidates who had applied only for Diploma in Engineering course will not be considered eligible for admission. 
  •  If a candidate had been offered admission to SSSC (Science Stream)/Diploma in Engineering in regular mode, then he/she shall not be considered for admission to SSSC (Science Stream) under SFS mode. b) For admission to SSSC (Commerce/Humanities Stream):  Candidate must have appeared in the Admission Test of SSSC (Commerce/ Humanities Stream) 2019-20 and must have secured minimum 15% marks in the Test.
  •  If a candidate had been offered admission to SSSC (Commerce/Humanities Stream) in regular mode, then he/she shall not be considered for admission to SSSC (Commerce/Humanities Stream) under SFS mode.

 Hostel Accommodation or any other facility will NOT BE PROVIDED to candidates admitted under SFS mode other than being treated as Internal candidates for future admissions in the University, wherever applicable. If any candidate is already residing in a Hall of Residence, he/she will have to vacate the accommodation before taking admission under SFS mode.

Candidates seeking admission under SFS Mode shall pay a fee of Rs. 25000/- at the time of admission and/or as notified by the University from time to time. 

 The classes under SFS mode shall be held in the afternoon.

 i) Eligible candidates desirous of admission under SFS mode have to submit a duly filled in Registration Form on the prescribed format (Form-II).
ii) Registration Form is available on the Official website
iii) Candidates have to submit separate Registration Form for admission to SSSC (Science Stream) and SSSC (Commerce/Humanities Stream). 

 i) Self-attested copy of High School Mark-sheet 
ii) Cash Slip/Demand Draft of Rs. 150/- in original (towards Processing Charges) in favour of Finance Officer, AMU, Aligarh 

Note: Cash Slip may be obtained from Canara Bank, AMU Branch, Aligarh

 Registration Form complete in all respects should reach the Office mentioned below up to 2:00 PM on or before August 26, 2019 failing which the same will be summarily REJECTED.
 i) For Male Candidates : Principal’s Office, S. Hamid Sr. Sec. School (Boys)
 ii) For Female Candidates : Principal’s Office, Senior Secondary School (Girls) 

The admission lists shall be displayed on the Official website . It shall be the responsibility of the candidates to visit the website regularly for any admission related information and also to check their admission status.

How to join National Defence Academy

Eligibility Criteria For NDA-II 2019 
(a) Nationality : A candidate must be unmarried male and must be : 
(i) a citizen of India, or 
(ii) a subject of Bhutan, or 
(iii) a subject of Nepal, or 
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 
1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, 
Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United 
Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with 
the intention of permanently settling in India. 
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and 
(v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has 
been issued by the Government of India. 
Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of 
candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal. 
(b) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status : 
Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd January, 2001

and not later than 1st January, 2004 are eligible.

(c) Educational Qualifications: 
(i) For Army Wing of National Defence Academy :—12th Class pass of the 
10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by 
a State Education Board or a University. 
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for 
the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :—12th Class 
pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and 
Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University. 
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of 
School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this 
Such candidates who qualify the SSB interview but could not produce 
Matriculation/10+2 or equivalent certificate in original at the time of SSB 
interview should forward duly self attested Photocopies to ‘Directorate 
General of Recruiting, Army HQ, West Block.III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-
110066’ and for Naval Academy candidates to ‘Naval Headquarters, 
DMPR, OI&R Section, Room No. 204, ‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhavan, New Delhi.

(d) Physical Standards: 
Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for 
admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy 
Examination (II), 2019 as per guidelines given in Appendix-IV. 
(e) A candidate who has resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds 
from any of the training academies of Armed Forces is not eligible to apply.

Candidates (excepting SC/ST candidates/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs 
specified in Note 2 below who are exempted from payment of fee) are 
required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) either by 
depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking 
facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/MasterCard/Rupay 
Credit/Debit Card.

Indian Air Force (IAF) has launched its mobile-based Air Combat game in India today. On Wednesday, Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa, Chief of Indian Air Force, launched this gaming app in Delhi. The name of this app is 'Indian Air Forcer: A Cut Above'.

Benifit of it-:
Launching the app, Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa said that the goal behind launching this app is to make the youth aware about the Indian Air Force. He said that with this game, youth will be encouraged to join the Air Force.

What will be special -:
The particular thing about this game is also the character of Indian Air Force wing commander Abhinandan Vithman. Players flying in this app will use the plane through the on-screen touch control or buttons while flying aircraft. In this game, anti-aircraft guns will be found, allowing enemy aircraft to shoot players. Players' guns will also be used to kill enemy radars as well. The IAF also released a teaser for the game on Twitter on 20 July. More than 43,000 people have seen this teaser so far.
